These boom gates are the horizontal bars which when installed rightly move upwards and also downwards as per the instructions and also at times according to the trains. At times they are also scheduled in way that whenever the train arrives the boom gates will be down and when it has passed by they will be up and the road will be free for the traffic to pass by. These are also commonly known as boom barriers. In the olden days there were no such automated indications for the people driving vehicles but then as there is a lot of advancement in technology boom gates are become very famous and also well liked by all of the drivers because it reduces the proximity of accidents.
